PFI leaders, staff and many members gathered in New Orleans, LA last week for HPBExpo 2016. In addition to meeting with hearth retailers, appliance manufacturers, and fuel manufacturers, PFI held its traditional Breakfast & Biomass.

Breakfast & Biomass: A Briefing on the Pellet Market took place on Friday, March 18. PFI Board Chairman Stephen Faehner presided over the breakfast, providing insight on the major PFI events of 2015, including the EPA's NSPS rule, PFI Standards Program developments and membership growth. He was followed by several speakers who gave an overview of the current pellet fuels market trends, a federal policy landscape and a preview of the 2016 PFI Annual Conference.

Pellet Fuels Institute also recognized Ron Leofsky and Jennifer Hedrick for their contributions to the pellet fuels industry.

Presentations from the Breakfast are available to Members on the PFI website

Owners of non-residential buildings-including businesses, non-profits and municipalities-are eligible for a $10,000 subsidy. These incentives are in addition to rebates currently available from Efficiency Vermont and the Clean Energy Development Fund.
